Photo of the Week (Feb 18-24)

frozen hudsonWelcome to Gabe’s first Photo of the Week! The parameters of the POTW are that the image must have been taken or processed in the last week. Sunday will be the post day so that all you people stuck in cubicles will have something new and fresh to look at as you sip your coffee and eat your bagel.
This shot is an 8 second exposure of the frozen Hudson River taken from the Rhinecliff dock. Yes, that barge was stuck in the river for at least 14+ hours and yes, the sound of crunching and moaning river ice is cool.

  1. Embracing winter, as always, I am particularly endeared to this photo. More snow! More shimmery ice crunching and moaning! More Mother Nature Winter!! We love you!

  2. Sky mirroring the icy water is beautiful. Great for 6×12, and you nailed the framing, too!

  3. Cold, Barren, Desolate… looks like my love life!
Seriously though, you are inspiring me to get out and go shoot.
    Keep up the excellent work!
